bene – doing good deeds
As a family business, social responsibility and awareness means much more to us than simply the high quality of our medicinal products. Our commitment to health, social integration and sport involve activities reflecting the tradition and values of our company.
Social Integration

bene – promoting social integration
In May 2006 bene-Arzneimittel GmbH supported the opening of the Kühlschruppe e.V. nursery school in the Solln district of Munich. Since then the nursery school has looked after 15 children between the ages of one and six, among them individuals with special needs. “The mixed age and ability structure of the children offers all of them the opportunity to learn from each other and, alongside their own abilities and limits, to also learn to recognise and appreciate the abilities and limits of other group members”, says Petra Groh, a Montessori educationalist and head of the children’s home.
bene is delighted to have made a contribution, initially of 5,000 euro, to improving the individual provision for preschool children and hopes that this promising project will spawn many imitators.

Culture
bene promotes neighbourhood culture
The Münchener Stadtteilwochen (Munich City District Weeks) came into being almost 30 years ago and has been hailed as an innovative model for neighbourhood culture by the Council of Europe. Today the Stadtteilwochen, under the patronage of Mayor Christian Ude, have become a fixed part of Munich’s cultural life. As a business resident in Solln, bene supported the Kulturwoche Solln–Fürstenried–Forstenried, which took place from June 14 to 21 2006, as the main sponsor of the opening evening with a contribution of 2,500 euro. We are glad to assist in the promotion of the cultural and artistic sides of life in our district of Munich.
Sport
bene – always on the ball when it comes to health issues
For bene-Arzneimittel GmbH too, 2006 was all about football. Through our commitment to the people’s favourite sport, as one of the main sponsors of the pharma-F Cup, we aim to promote the message of preventive health care and improved quality of life through an active lifestyle.
Together with four other leading medium-sized pharmaceutical firms and our tournament patron, the German Team player Philipp Lahm, we enjoyed two exciting days of footballing competition at the finals on the 29 and 30 July 2006, while the qualification tournament, the ben-u-ron
Cup, made an exciting preliminary on 1 July in Munich-Gern.In the exciting finals the SV Stuttgarter Kickers junior team won the 2006 pharma-F Cup in Ulm-Ermingen, with the SV Schriesheim and SSV Ulm 1846 teams coming second and third respectively. The players of SV Stuttgarter Kickers were also awarded the Medice Fitness Prize, while the GeloMyrtol Fairness Prize was awarded to ten children from seven different clubs. Players, trainers, supporters and event organisers alike showed a lot of commitment and had plenty of fun, and plans are already afoot to restage the pharma-F Cup next year. We can’t wait!
